I think that the Human Animal is Nature's greatest mistake, however poets that write like you are an exception.
a lovely lovely piece, enjoyed the humor in this brings a realism in humanity
Good poem Val. It tickled me pink. As to bringing an end to war - sadly, evil men make too much money out of it to do that.
Personally I think both of you are divine... Pirate Girl con-curs!
Really enjoyed this sequel! Of all, I love the third stanza! As human beings, we always have our weaknesses. But, if we are devout, God gives us the grace to wade through the adversities of life and forgives our imperfections!
Superb poem with a serious message brought on a humoristic note. A poem that brings some joy in the reader's mind. A poem that enlightens a bit one's day Excellent.
I'm just a poet and dig this more and hope that you are heard about war and will wishfully hope on many a score.
A great sequel to your previous beautiful write! Glad Diane Hine has evoked this lovely response!
of course God has such sense of humour. the only important thing is humanity.we all are human although some of us may forget it some time. this poem just reminded me a quotation by baroque spinoza who has said God has not created this world to stand out of it so everything happens here is God himself even the untrue things. great i really love it~nb
The universal question, what comes after we shuffle off this mortal coil?
A great poem, you could do a whole range of poems like this. They would make great reading.
Amen! Thank you Valerie. Joe Hughes on Poemhunter and at joehughes.org.uk
This is really a magnificent poem and one that I truly enjoyed reading. We all are Human and therefore are imperfect. Hopefully we will learn from our mistakes. Most appreciative!
