Come praise the stars, the wind, the rain

A message of acceptance and responsibility. A hymn of praise and affirmation of life. Very wise and balanced composition. It was a message I needed to hear. I wish I could feel the same way.
Couldn't have been written better. Beautiful piece which explains all. Your message is received and understood. Over and out. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
This has been a great day for finding great poems and this is one of them. Excellent literary piece.
There is no line that is not a favorite in this...and (in my wittiest repertoire) my most favorite line has to be 'Doubt denials of the flame'. I may be taking it out of context (of course I'm known to do that) but this is the diamond point of your stylus for me, the mature kernel from which the rest sprouts. philosophical balance and a magnificent work, Will. -Tailor
Well said, Will. It reminds me of Cool Tombs by Carl Sandburg, specifically, 'Pocahontas’ body, lovely as a poplar, sweet as a red haw in November or a pawpaw In May, did she wonder? Does she remember? ... in the dust, in the cool tombs? Take any streetful of people buying clothes and groceries, cheering a hero or throwing confetti and blowing tin horns... tell me if the lovers are losers... tell me if any get more than the lovers... in the dust... in the cool tombs.'
Great poem. A beautiful affirmation of life told with effortless rhythm. Perfect title.
This is really excellent Will, good philosophical content, and a sublime verse. Top drawer, good luck! Patrick
This one reminds me of an old Hymn... Very beautiful... and, I'm cool with that! My Best CJ
Wow, amazing write... one of the best I've read on poemhunter! Brilliantly composed and superbly worded! Very, very 'cool.' Brian
A very lovely spiritual poem, the good and the bad, different faces to the same coin of life. Uriah
Stunning piece of prose, first of yours to read and it does not disappoint - far from it - most magnificent! HG: -) xx
Hey Will... I gave this one a hearty 10! And I really identify with it! All my best, CJ
And there is an end, so the last stanza really speaks to me... live it while you can (Can-Can) ... Love the flowww of this and the emphasis on hey, we really ARE one in our vulnerability... Wil(l) -Co(ol) ! Esther : ]
Wonderful write Will (howzat for alliteration!) . I'll be carrying that last line around with me. Hugs Anna xxx
Love the title! This is vintage Will Barber. Truly extraordinary! Warm regards, Sandra
