And I ask myself sometimes, why not?

The unexamined life is not worth living. (Socrates) Conversations are (and have been) a great source of thought expansion. Hearing what others have to say and hearing your own thoughts be vocalized. Cementing them in print makes them more permanent, more impactful over time. 'You', in that particular moment in time. Those 'Yous', over time, add up to the current one and will continue to accumulate into you at any future moment in time. That means it is imperative to make as many 'current moments' as you can, as self aware and mentally impactful as possible. Going into your mind in the writing process is great brain exercise and then some. Keep it up
Just like you I, too, had been away for a while from writing. And I truly relate to what you have expressed here Mike. Writing, for me, is like meditation. It is a kind of activity that helps me to stay true to myself - to express thoughts, ideas, and most importantly, opinions. Keep going my friend. You are a wonderful poet and I am very glad that I became acquainted with you here. I cherish our conversations.
