Why be afraid to die, death is just a part of life, we are all born and all most die, some sooner and some later, we all get our time and then most move on to a happier place...10
YES, I am 'scared to death' to die, yet oddly enough, more often then not, I wish it would happen soon, without me knowing it of course. I don't want to be under the ground with the bugs [and I know I'll be dead and won't feel them] just rotting away, nor does the thought of burning thrill me, and yes I know I won't feel that. If I had my way I'd be left on a beautiful island, of the many that are just that, islands in the sea...That's where I'd like to be if I must die....Now, though fearful of it, I am not afraid of what will greet me after, for then I know I will be at peace. Melvina, thank you for this poem.~~~~~~~~marci.xo. :)
Mel when I read the first verse and old Hank Williams gospel number popped into my head. His most famous one called I See The Light. This is a beautiful gospel number. Then a Canadian singer songwriter popped into my head, Ian Tyson whose voice would suit this lovely work. Top Marks and thanks for sharing it my friend. David
flowing beautiful verse, Melvina, that allows a moment to think about the inevitable, for which we all have at least some trepidation. great read. -Tailor
Melvina that was just beautiful...you really need to find someone to work at getting them into the right hands....I wish I knew someone for you...Because you do have a talent for spiritual song writing
No matter how strong your Faith bE(I.M.O.) , it is norm to have some degree of concern, or fear of the unknown...And i think that is alright so long as it does not become a lifelong obsession that inevitably disrupts your goals, and objectives, in Life. And to bear in mind, that our next stop is supposed to be the best yet to come! Great hymn...great poem...great work, young lady! FjR
