I love you not because you have touched me.
If it were then
love would be a temporal being,
in tht moment we'd live in; in its heat we'd lavish
and soon in its death,
it would disappear and be void.
And oh yes, if it were a temporal being,
we'd be satisfied in a moment to throw,
and yet not grow.
In what love does: grow. I love you for you.
Not in your touch,
nor your facial expressions,
nor your warmth,
but for you.
Those linger on love after,
