Wow, a very powerful love indeed. Sounds very much like my own love, except for: When you're not close, even a prayer Cannot hasten despair away And I never would consider myself as his prisoner, though I do very much surrender to him as he surrenders to me. I never despair when my love is away because I know he will be back soon :) A beautiful poem,
Love is the poetry in your voice as you share with others the emotion that engulfs you. Nice write Lora.
the beauty of this poem defies any worded appreciation.
OK, I guess it is possible that you could actually feel this way about some guy today. But what about tomorrow? We all know what an incredible imagination you have dear Poet, your aura like honey, your words shine like gold. God Himself might feel some pangs of jealousy that you love a mere man like this. No, you're safe, I guess, since God isn't real for you? Still even if this guy is as great as you imagine, (that is hard to imagine you realize) , being a guy he's sure to forget your silly birthday someday! No, wait, I guess you're still safe because no one knows your birthday! He does? Wow, I give up. If this is not real love, then I've never seen it in my lifetime before! Congratulations Dear Poet! If he is not always perfect, then may he, at least, always exceed your expectations. : -) I wish you the best! : -)
A beautiful love song with all the praises for the person you love. Thoroughly loved it Lora.
