If I were to say I think I love you, it would be true
Because you see, I do think that
If I said, I feel I love you, it would be true
Because you see, I do feel that
And when I say, I know I love you
Like I'm doing now, it would also be true
Because you see, I think and feel and know that
Yes, I love you.

I know I am unkind sometimes
And my words hurt you
Sometimes intentionally, sometimes accidentally
And sometimes I go on without seeing the damage I've done
And you hide your pain too easily from me
Let me see it - we'll heal together.

I do love you, you beautiful man
You handsome and smiling chocolate creature
With words to charm and make me laugh
With silliness to make tough times lighter
Who is gentle and considerate and soft
When I am angry and rude and hard
Who supports in ways I sometimes fail to see
Who never forgets to take my hand.

Don't be sad angel, whatever the weather, we re in it together
We'll play in the rain, and laugh in the sun
And stay in the shade when its too hot to go out
And yes, I love you.

We're two very different people
We think two different ways
And that's why its harder for us
To make sense and plans of our days
But although different is hard it doesn't mean impossible
So we'll do our best and work out the kinks
