I Love When Love Pounds Poem by Gary James Smith

I Love When Love Pounds

Rating: 5.0

I Love When Love Pounds

I love when love pounds away
And breaks our stubborn will
And makes us see with eyes of faith
That Jesus loveth still
There is no heart so hard that He
Cannot make it anew
His love constantly pounding away
To make a brand new you

Love can take those pieces of life
And put them back together
Now it may seem a puzzle to you
But He above all... knows better
So don't throw your hands up in the air
As if He's not in control
But keep your heart settled in Him
He brings peace to the soul

You may not recognize His love
It comes in many forms
It might be an act of a stranger
Or something out of the norm
But here a little there a little
His love keeps pounding away
The hammer may be silent but
It will definely have it's way

Can you hear His still small voice
Love is on march
His banner over us is love
The sky displays that arch
And in the passion for our soul's
It will find a place to stay
A guarantee from the Hammer bearer
Who in love pounds away!
