In reference to the philosophical underpinnings of my own poem. I have thought this through, and while I certainly believe our focus should be to dwell on the one Life- (God) , who formed us, it is foolish to think that there is no such thing as concrete evil. Just as each of us can choose to follow the life principal of Acts 17: 28 of 'For in him we live and move and have our being, individuals can choose to live a life of exclusion from interacting with or being in the flow of the Spirit of God and can choose to be incarnations of evil. There is no other explanation for Adolph Hitler, serial killers, etc.
Very good thought provoking poem this one William and so true great work
is this a response to cummings' poem 'dying is fine) but Death'? It's very well-written.
The kingdom of God is now, a very profound statement indeed. Yes if you look around you on any given day, you will surely see God at work for all existence is created by the Holy Master and put forth for all to enjoy. The existence of good and evil will always exit, the good thing is we have the ability to make our own choice in this precious life, their's nothing abstract about it, it's very simply what it is good is good and evil is evil. Even in words, we can see the answer. Simply take the o out of good and what do we have, add the d to evil and what do we see. I love your poem, it's very interesting and thought provoking. Hi William, I think God is really close to us. If we want to believe it or not. I think we choose to be good or evil. This is a chose that us humans make for ourselves. We all get off the wrong track, but I believe if you are truly good you will get back on it. Excellent poem, great values in this poem.
become one with the great unconscious stream of Life that formed and continues to form all living things. oneness is the great message of love and life
This poem gives me so much joy, you remind me of that I can choose life and joy..instead of focus on avaiding what is bad...A beautiful poem from you-Pia
William...I shall try to remember this poem...the next time I meet with evil...and perhaps in my world...I can conquer it. Hugs, Dee
what we call good in man here on earth, is actually evil, and vice versa
A splendid prose based on seizing the day, to carpe the diem, that our time here is not as much as we may think it is and that we should be kind to the moments in our lives. This is an enlightening piece and a good read. - K.
wiliam, this is an enlightening poem. it speaks of the continuity of god's grace, LIFE...in this world and in the hereafter. man is basically good, perhaps. because of this, it is possible that there is no such thing as evil. it is only a concept that man materializes. it is caused by his distance from his creator. thanks for making me think and analyze my own existence.
I love life too WJ, and I agree with the sentiment in your poem. A Buddist philosophy is it? 10 from Tai
You stirred yet another view, of good and evil and what our focus in life should be. I like, nice piece.
