A very good and thought provoking poem. We become a composite of many big and small personalities before realizing that none actually belongs to us. Our own self is simply a reflective mirror holding layers of perceptions for us to choose from. Congratulations for member poem place and thanks for sharing it.

Imitation creates shadows and identity is blurred.Life is meaningful if you live as it comes to you. A very good lyric. To understand self gratifies inner hunger.

It is indeed a great poem.Congratulations for poem of the day.Every individual has his own identity and an inner cry to see it distinctively. But it may be shadowed by the so called greats. The pain of lost identity and cry to establish own image so marvelously portrayed in this poem- - - - - I gaze at my own plain mirror I can't find reflection of mine. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I need to preserve my fresh image To ensure my own precious identity.
