Love is beauty that resides in heart, not on skin. A love lorn heart sees only beauty in her lover. Very tender and lovely poem, thanks for sharing. The lines that I liked most in the poem- - 45 was even better we're picking up the pace! Each line is a trophy on your blissed-out face

Alice, may you and your loved one continue to age gracefully. In a culture that continues to praise youthfulness, it's refreshing to see a reversal in this well thought out poem. Congratulations on Poem Of The Day!

So strange here in the west, that the natural extension of our worship of youth is a despising of age. You have whimsically focused the light of truth upon the reality that true beauty defies age, and is more likely to be a product of time, wisdom, and experience. If only we have the eyes to see. This piece gives us your eyes to see this valuable truth. Bravo!

A beautiful poem immersed in the lore of love... love of communion of a life time...not what gets peddled today for one night stands... well chosen words and free flowing warmth that transcends exterior... a true reflection of a loving partner and a life spent well bravo...nice lines liked

Just as Rajnish ji has commented, the spirit of true love never diminishes with age. In fact, the beauty becomes sublime and shines through the loving eyes. A lovely poem by Alice! To quote: 45 was even better we're picking up the pace! Each line is a trophy on your blissed-out face

With each passing year, the spirit of true love intensifies and becomes part of our life. So much so that the increasing wrinkles on the face of one partner cannot diminish the other's love and passion not even the least. Thanks.
