I' Ll Quit Poetry..... [my Poemhunter Connection; Other Members; A Little Long] Comments

Rating: 4.9

Sitting quietly in my too-fancy chair, I hear classical music now fill the air.
[It's a rare evening during which my wife and I don't a movie share.]
Now the music's stopped coming from down the hall; I did enjoy it.
I believe my wife's at her computer in the "office"; she, the music, did employ it

I appreciate your touch of humour whenever you write Bri. Since 2014 and you are still here. You will still be here because you are meant to be here for a purpose. That is 'TO ADD VALUE TO POETRY'

YES, 'many are gone', most without saying 'Bye bye' to me. : ( Se la vie.... or MAYBE not 'life', but DEATH in some cases. Well, 'IT' WILL happen to ALL.

Hi Brian, next time don't forget to mention me as well. I hope you don't see my information cruel or dishonest one. And you shall not hunt me down and tickle mercilessly because I'm coming from a broad!

Well-composed work about poetry and friendship. I guess the desire to quit is episodes to most poem-writers since it can be exhausting to write regularly and sometimes we doubt the value of persistence. Glad that you are still around here, to bring us newcomers poems and great joy, Bri.

The poem was written in 2014, but I am reading it now because I came here this year only! Truly, the piece of work carries exceptional humor but the reality has not been ignored either! …. And if I get a special request for a poem with a subject you choose......I'll try to not let you down, ...... or your sensibilities abuse”. It implies that Bri is surely a critic but does not believe in adverse criticism playing with the emotions of poets! Liked your Work! !

I couldn't imagine this site without you here Bri. Your poems and comments brighten the day. Many times I will be reading a pH friends poem and I see that you have commented and I look forward to reading what you say already anticipating a laugh. And where would one be without our spell checker and grammar king. Keep writing your hard case poems and comments Bri. PH would be a sad site without you.

This is very entertaining! Really funny. I'm Luscious Larry, but I forgot my password, so I can't reach him. Poor guy. (True story. I'm Luscious Larry)

Bri Did you pull the VOLPONE ruse on us? You know the play by Ben Jonson in which the sly Volpone pretends to be dying so his relatives will cluster around him, giving him gifts because they hope to get his big inheritance. Then he is miraculously CURED and he settles back with his relatives' loving gifts. Regardless of your intentions, you penned a clever poem, I especially like the stanzas naming and rhyming all the poets who will inherit your Poetic Mantle. Celebrity status is being named in a Bri Edwards poem! !

Though I don't believe that I read or enjoyed much of Daniel's poetry, I REALLY appreciate his comment and the 'story' in it! I've heard D. B. has died 'recently'. RIP poet. bri ;)
