I have a question...after I read your poem I interpreted it in two different ways and I want to clarify which is the correct interpretation if you don't mind? My first interpretation is that the poor heartbroken soul is playing a psychological game with his or her love by expressing that he or she will be ok when he or she leaves yet simultaneously ladening his or her love with guilt to make him or her stay. I say this because the heartbroken soul keeps professing his or love and the pain that he or she will soon endure then follows it up with a 'but, I'll be ok' thus giving me the indication that he or she will obviously not be ok and by expressing his or sadness and self pity, the guilt will entice his or her love to stay.
My second interpretation is the simplistic version which is the heartbroken soul will be ok regardless of what happens but wan't to express him or herself before his or her love departs. Please advise?
