I like Canadians also, going by the teachers from that country who came to Auckland to teach. They taught well, spoke well with an accent close to American. I also like Hemingway's novels, 'The Old man and the Sea', 'The Sun Also Rises', 'Islands in the Stream', and others. He had a memorable writing style.

Slightly comical, a bit plainly reflective for Hemingway- about people more than 'doing something' which are perhaps his better known works.
There have been over 500 people killed by motor cars In Chicago So far this year. It is hard to get rich in Canada.../// love Canadians cause they more civilized than Chicago peoples! ! !

I like Hemingway. And this poem. And that at one time, he worked for The Telegram. I guess that's why he likes Canadians. We kept him fed when he was in dire straits.
Kevin Patrick has a solid reason why he strongly endorses this poem, but I without one, one having not visited either country, would vote for Canada. But kudos for the poet minute observations beautifully put forth.

As a Canadian I strongly endorse this poem. Times have changed though Toronto is a cesspool of motor cars. On the bright side its still hard to get rich in our country.

A little known fact about Hemingway and Canada: after the Cuban Revolution, he refused Washington’s request that he denounce Castro. He was tricked into the Mayo Clinic and received electric shock “therapy” but continued to send money to the staff of his Cuban home — but routed it though Canadian banks.
