I Like A Good Boring Day Poem by Shane Dickie

I Like A Good Boring Day

I like a good boring day
Where nothing striking happens
And I am given a chance
To recharge and wonder and wander
I have the time to be bored to reflect,
To do nothing and not feel guilty
About it, to mender and putter,
To breathe in the day with a
Huge breathe while I can,
One hour is the same as the next
And time has stopped,
I am indeed in the paradise of eternity,
Where there is nothing to fret or vex me;
I like a good boring day,
Don't spoil it with machinations of grander things,
I am in my grandeur,
I'll have my nonchalant day
And be on my way,
And I will enjoy the day
As it was meant to be enjoyed.
