Part 3: She withdraws into herself. There is no love lost between them. This state into which a marriage reduces, deteriorates is a serious situation and needs immediate repairs.

Wow! What a poem. The poet repeatedly states, "Kusum, you are not good", to state very forcefully that it is the Narrator who is not good. His acts, his omissions and commissions have caused ‘Kusum' (the word in most Indian languages mean ‘flower') total alienation from him. She withdraws into him
