I In Myself Poem by Ravi Kopra

I In Myself

Many people have lived in me
Some longer than the other
Some I have kicked out of me
Some refuse to leave me
Some died long ago
Like ghosts they come in my
dreams still torturing me.
Had I never known them
Would I be someone else
and not the one I think
What I am now in my self?
And would they have been
different had they not known me?
Are we genuinely ourselves in essence
or just mere products of
circumstances that volutarily
or otherwise we encounter
in our life times?
If we have to be careful
with whom we sleep, should we
not be to whom we speak?
