This poem is more about wars and how soldiers give up their own lives so that we can live another day. When I wrote this poem, my stepbrother was sent to Iraq during a crucial part of the war. I was just really upset and this is the product of that. I think the context is more between a poem and a story that is being told... Not sure if it's my best though.
