Muse of a book! ! Reading along like, Life's own journey. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.

On reading the poem, I never guessed that it has such a profound layer of inner meaning! Yes, in our lives we leave some marks and retire to relax for a while. When we resume life once again in renewed enthusiasm, we find that others have left some marks in the tome of our life. Yes, our life is a book read not by us alone but by others also. In the course of their reading, they too leave some marks. So we cannot claim our life exclusively as our own. A great poem!

Khairul, Thank goodness for the Poet's Notes, though i thought maybe others HAD, ..as you referred to later, ...read parts of the book and folded pages. BUT i was thinking of REAL BOOKS, I wonder what sort of marks I [and others] have made in life which they would rather not be remembered. hmm? bri ;)

A fine write on something that relates to us all. Everyone has done it at some point. There are so many lovely bookmarks when stuck I use a receipt. Rose petals are a wonderful idea and would leave fragrance.
