I feel like another biscuit
One of those chocolate ones I think
Maybe I'll have just one or two
And I sure do need a drink
What's this the packets empty!
And we're getting low on Coke
Well, that's the way life is y'know
Not just for me but for my bloke
I better get off to the shop
I need to get there quickly
Before my sugar levels drop
The shop's just ‘round the corner
But it's easier to drive
‘Cos if I walked there in this heat
I don't think I would survive
Anyways I need to buy more
‘Cos we're running out of stuff
And with all the things we like to eat
We never seem to have enough
This seat belt needs adjusting
It's getting far too tight
And the air con in the car don't work
As well as it just might
Phew! This trip is such an effort
And I'm starting to feel faint
I really need something right now
I really cannot wait
What's this in the glove box?
Well, glory be on high
It's a bag of those nice lollies
We like to eat when on a drive
Thank God I'm feeling better now.
I'm at the shop and now inside
I always shop so carefully
I've always got a mental list
There's nothing worse than getting home
And realising what you've missed
So I stock up on essentials
Like meat pies and frozen chips
And those lovely creamy milk shakes
To avoid another trip
I also look out for the specials
You see you can really save a lot
Look, there's 25% off soft drinks
And a promotion on those chocs
Now, where are all the biscuits
And my legs are feeling numb
Oh my God I have forgotten
What it is we'll eat for tea
I'll buy one of those lasagnes
A big one - that's easy
Oh dear, there's another special
Just one I can't resist
On corn chips and cheese biscuits
And bags of potato crisps
I better buy more lollies
Always good to have on hand
I was so wise to drive here
‘Cos you never know what you will buy
Eleven bags of shopping
That's why I need a four wheel drive
I think I meed a lay down
I'm feeling really rather weak
Sweat is running off me
And I can tell I have red cheeks
I'll take biscuits and some soft drink
For I've still got quite a thirst
I did such a lot of shopping
But now I'm feeling even worse.
