I don't miss you when I wake each morning
‘Til I search my phone for a text from you
I don't miss you when I commute to work
‘Til horizon breaks sunrise into view
I don't miss you as I go through my day
‘Til I see your photo's no longer there
And I don't miss you when I eat my meals
‘Til I raise my eyes looking for your stare
There are many things in this world I miss
Like my grandma, childhood holidays
And how friends used to burn the midnight oil
Then sleep our careless afternoons away
But, of all things I miss, I don't miss you
No, I don't miss you, dear… Until I do
I don't miss you when I am with my friends
‘TIl all the noise dies down and my mind clears
I don't miss you when I go for a walk
‘Til a fond memory drops me to tears
There are many things in this world I miss
Like my grandma, childhood holidays
And how friends used to burn the midnight oil
Then sleep our careless afternoons away
But, of all things I miss, I don't miss you
No, I don't miss you, dear… Until I do
And when I wake up from a dream I had
Of your loving eyes looking into mine
Saying the words that I had longed to hear
As my heart melted into sweet resign
In all of my years and all of my dreams
What I felt inside when your smile beamed
Was greater than all my thoughts could design
I don't miss you when the stars shine at night
‘Til I remember you're not beside me
I don't miss you as I drift off to sleep
‘Til I wake and, you, I no longer see
There are many things in this world I miss
Like my grandma, childhood holidays
And how friends used to burn the midnight oil
Then sleep our careless afternoons away
But, of all things I miss, I don't miss you
No, I don't miss you, dear… Until I do
And I do
