I Don't Hear Your Voice Anymore Poem by Muhammad Umair

I Don't Hear Your Voice Anymore

I wake up and it is still night;
my phone silently says: No texts, calls
or mail from you. No shaft of light
enters through the door;
your voice,
I don't hear anymore.
Your love is still buried in my heart,
as fresh as a daisy,
and every day I wait for you to
walk through that door,
or ring this phone up,
for I wanna tell you that
how this world is incomplete
and has no color without you;
the palm of your hand
never leaves my hand,
and I tread happily
even in 'The Waste Land.'
In my night, your love is like the sun;
it makes two souls one.
There is so much I want you to know.
Innumerable voices
I hear 24/7,
but your voice,
I don't hear anymore.
