I Don't Exist Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

I Don't Exist

Rating: 5.0

There's no flag for my sexual orientation
As I am the only one
I looked at movies and TV
And I am squemish with
The two protagonists squeezing
Their lips together
I can't even watch them making love
While I take the remote control
And turn off the TV
I cry for the solitude that is killing me
Because no one has heard of it
No one is there in all the media
Talking about it
Making me feel I don't exist

"I cry for the solitude that is killing me"… Solitude, sure, is such a villain! Nice poem. Kept it up, LeeAnn!

Remember, better alone than with someone that's wrong. And as long as you've got Poetry, you are not alone! Poets never abandone, one of their own. and you belong to us now, dear Lee Ann. God's speed, your sensitivity and great poetry we need!
