I Do Not Want to Die Alone (Heaven's Trumpets)
I have travelled far and wide, inside my mind
Searching for the perfect Lady to be my bride
And each time the laughing sun sets on them
Leaving me full of heartache, despair 'n regret.
O' how it's not easy to forget such pretty faces;
But as a man, who understands, how dates go
My heart is heavy, from always coming home
Heart broken, desolate, down trodden 'n alone.
I do not want to die alone...
For I fear my only company
Will be worms in my grave
Underneath my tombstone.
As Death laughs at me here
For crossing the great divide
As a bachelor who died alone.
As a bachelor who died alone.
All alone...
I do not want to die alone...
For I fear if I hear the sound
Of Heaven's Trumpets now
Calling me to board the train
Leaving this world on tracks
Skybound, I will not look back
And feel like my life was done
Right, without a Lady in my life.
To make a home...
I have travelled far and wide, inside my mind
And each time, come up short taking a bride
Leaving me a broken man, who needs a hand
In finding someone compatible with someone
Like me... Am I the best catch of the day? No.
But my heart is twice the size of a Humpback
Whale... A generous offer to any woman who
Would set sail beyond the horizon with me too.
I do not want to die alone...
For I fear my only company
Will be worms in my grave
Underneath my tombstone.
I do not want to die alone...
For I fear the world will not
Stop the onslaught of 'life'
Keeping me a prisoner here
In my home, alone...
In my home, alone...
In my home, alone...
Until Heaven's Trumpets call
Me to travel upwards to a new
Life, and a Neo-alienation...
Where I will be able, like angels
To be free, and R.O.A.M....
And look for the Lady of my Life
In the clouds, to finally make us
A quiet but quaint and bountiful
Happy 'HOME...'
O.A.
