I, Covid 19 Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

I, Covid 19

Rating: 5.0

I, Covid 19

I am laughing out loudest.
My name is Covid nineteen
These days i am the proudest
People feel me but i can't be seen
I have caused so much hysteria
Making people sick like diphteria
Every one in quarantine
Panic i 'm guaranteeing

I ve been around for a century
Some are playing the blame game
I tasted effluent and mercury
So blaming someone is lame
I moved to bats and pangolins
Then onto meat eaten by mandarins
Now i cause chest damages
I live in human lung passages

I know humans will succeed
Humans are fighting back
To starve me of my feed
Make no mistake there is backlash
I will have to find a new host
Humans no good as ghosts
I am,I, Covid nineteen
Causing mayhem never seen

Yes we shall overcome. Nothing is permanent on this earth. This is a phase that will pass off.
