I Carry A Rifle Poem by Randy McClave

I Carry A Rifle

I carry a rifle
So, with me you best not trifle,
I am quite easy to offend
And I am ever so quickly to defend.
I do not mind to harass or hate
But, I will not rationalize or debate,
Your point of view better be the same as mine
Or you will be toeing that one thin line.
With my gun for me to be wrong, I am not
My opponents can be quickly shot,
And the protesting strangers that I meet
They could easily be lying at my feet.
I can be both the judge and the jury
I can be filled with hells own fury,
Though I might not be as educated as you or yours
So, you better not toss out your socialism lures.
If you're against me you better run and hide
Remember the constitution is on my side,
So, with me or my belief do not stifle
I carry a rifle.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
First of all, I hate guns and I don't or won't own one, they give power and strength to the wrong people. I wrote this poem to family and friends who carry guns constantly.
