I Bent The Kneel Poem by Raimi Babatunde

I Bent The Kneel

I searched for perfection
In an imperfect world
until I realized I've wasted life
not time.

I looked for love in soddom
In my soujourn I saw it all
lost myself on the laps of Delilahs
but grace found me. Just grace.

I chased stones and lost diamonds
the grass wasn't greener at the other side
neither did the water turn purer in reality
I chased stones, but lost it all.

I looked at the other side for acceptance
sought companionships in wrong places
until I bent the kneel, and sought intentionally
suddenly, The Great Oracle heard.

Then you came by. How soothingly satisfying
I caught the cold and you became my drugs
I was afraid to loose you, so I popped
Guess what, Bewaji said 'Yes'.
