I Am With Terrorism Comments
We are accused of terrorism:
if we defended rose and woman
and the mighty verse ...
and the blueness of sky ...
A dominion .. nothing left therein...
No water, no air ..
No tent, no camel,
and not even dark Arabica coffee!!

Unbelievable how, since time of writing this poem, things have only progressively gotten worse. As if, Mr. Qabbani predicted the future as Orwell did with his 1984. A lovely, brave, courageous piece. Forever in my heart. I am with terrorism
understand everything.. yet, it's no possible ''to be with terorism''! Never.
In fact you are. If you defend Western states, vote, etc. it means you are complicit in their state terrorism from Vietnam to Iraq and Afghanistan and their support dictatorships that have been using state terror, including their support of Israeli state terrorism.
A liberal does not distinguish between the bigger terrorism - that of the state - and individual terrorism and national struggle. Was not terrorism against the Nazi occupation legitimate?
