I am waiting for that day,
When the old sun of peace and love rises on us;
Shining our mountains, dales, and valleys;
Removing the thick pall of smoke from our faces;
Wiping off from the faces of the Great Lakes,
And rivers blood stains;
Spreading the news about the much awaited news,
Of end to oppression and tyranny;
Proclaiming across the Valley resurrection of,
The dead values of humanity;
Waking us up from the deep slumber;
Telling each one of us a story of a silent revolution,
Is in the offing;
Moving behind the perpetrators of violence and killings;
I am waiting for that day when our faces shine,
With the light of liberty, peace and tranquility.
