I Am Still Me Poem by Asif Baloch

I Am Still Me

Rating: 4.7

I am something that I wasn’t suppose to be
I was human full of love and purity
Now I am savage a selfish killer
Who loves his own dignity
Once I was loved with respect
To all kind
Now they are scared and terrified
Of my sight
Just because of greed and to get
Higher authority
I kill myself every day every night
With brutality
I don’t know when that day will come
When I will become we
Cause till now I am still me

This is really good. No wasted words. The meaning and purpose are clear, the story is complete. The only reason it does not get a ten is because I reserve that for poems which are unique among poems. This one is good though, worthy of a 9.5 . GW62

Good rhythm and meaning. Expressed well, with a lot of depth.

indeed a very deep insight into human nature and how it just walks headlong into all sorts and manners of corruption simply to get head.
