Amen! I believe in compassion and even think that their is a certain logic to it that fits into Darwinian theory. You not only get immediate gratification, in the form of released oxytocin and endorphins, but you now have an ally
People are bailing out of organized religion for good reason but in the process they may be throwing the baby out with the bath water. There is a sinister aspect to what scientists are pushing and when people in science start suggesting how society should be run I get nervous. Real nervous.
