I Am Glorious!
You pass me by, no backward glance
and remember me perhaps by chance?
I'm fluid like and just blend in
but I can take it on the chin
I am glorious!
I don't stand out, I'm always there
but hurt my friends you'd best beware.
I've loyalty coursing through my veins,
work hard and mostly don't complain
I am glorious!
I have no cape with which to fly
No x-ray vision in my eyes,
My strength is in my fearsome heart
but when in need I'll take your part.
I am glorious!
There's no way I please everyone
my opinions pretty much homespun.
Good sense for me is paramount
but I'll be there when it really counts
I am Glorious!
Sometimes I'm loud, sometimes I'm not,
and when I'm cross I swear a lot.
I'm made of pieces of my past
I am unique and not precast,
I am Glorious!
I hide my flaws but know they're there
and act real cool although I care.
I am unique, a soul that's free
That's why I'm Glorious
I am me!
