Though I agree with your comment, you are not as bad as you may think. Even if you were, you wouldn't be alone. Anyway, the poem itself is good, I enjoyed the truth in its words. I can see you acting out the movements you describe here, and I can feel the awkwardness presented in the poem. I enjoyed this... :) haha
I loved the whole thing! But some of the highlights are...what tiger said, and: Sweaty palms, shaking hands, babbled speech Just a few of my afflictions Why should you choose this stuttering fool Over a polished woman with more conviction The doubt that we cast on ourselves in connection w/ comparison to others is conveyed well here. And you ignored all of my imperfections And you let me talk to you with my eyes And the feeling of pleasant surprise is expressed so cleverly. Awesome job.
Aria, This- This is amazing. So honest and true to you. Naked and raw with your feelings, your self-conscienceness... and proud of it. A rare quality in a writer...and a young woman. Outstanding Ink Aria! ! ! ; -) -Kelly.
A very charming and relatable piece! Even though I myself like to think i'm smooth, in reality, thats not true! haha my hands down favorite line: Those other girls walk up to you With words whispery and rehearsed And you catch me rolling my eyes over here Hand on my hip-lips pursed This line both humored me and described my actions exactly at times when I see the object of my affection. Great write! I loved it! :)
This is beautifully done! How honest and perfect are your descriptions of that awkwardness! I can totally relate to every line. Really enjoyed!
I can see myself not just acting out these words but BEING them lol. Kindred spirit here: -) Love this one! Stevie Taite is awesome btw: -)
