Reading this and floating along I kept thinking that you must be the Indian Walt Whitman. But then I think-no. You two are as different as the cuckoo and the quail and that is as it should be. Your song, my song, the hatching egg and the music of the stars guarding the nest all sing a song of our own that blends together. I have read this poem at the perfect time, funny how that is. I had just written of the sweet siren song of the universe in my last poem. How strange how things weave together. I have been in my new home for one year in the city and I have five more to go until I can return to the bounty of the countryside where I belong. This song/poem is perfect and sweeps through from the west, promising rain and a fresh beginning, washed clean and ready to return to the simple wonders of the land and sky........excellent writing Madathil. You truly are gifted.

This poem reminds me of lines in Tagore's Gitanjali! Beautiful!
