I am a magic feather,
Forever floating free.
I land on children's pillows,
When they have dreams of me.
They rise to a surprise,
Happy smiles full of glee.
For the colours of a rainbow,
Are displayed all over me.
I'm a treasure to forever keep,
I'm a memory made of gold,
When children awake from sleep,
I'm a dream on which to hold.
What a lovely poem, Shaun. So tenderly written for children to keep and read. So mellifluous when read. Liked how you crafted this poem. Very well written with nice rhyme and flow. Enjoyed reading it. Top Marks! !
A most enchanting poem Shaun. I think my niece will simply love it! I don't know if you have read any of the work of the poet Walter de la Mare, but he also composes some truly magical/enchanting verse. Indeed, he is one of my favourite poets. It's definitely a treasure for ever inspired ten from me or is it now a fantastic five out of five...judging by the changes (for the sake of change if you ask me) ...what's the point?
