Enjoyed reading and to read further of the Outlaw Poets. Wonderful. Thank You
Wow, what a nice poem.. love to quote these lines.. Then at night in the confidence of their homes rip out their apology-tongues and steal their poems. Thanks poet.
One of the greatest outlaw poets of all time. Or at least since the Provençal troubadours. Authentic energy, verve, commitment, candor and a surgical precision for the excision of life from wherever it may dwell is the terrain of the poet. Of anyone who would be worthy of the moniker eternally. God speed, Gregory. You are missed.
The main point of the poem is fair enough- not liking old poets of the Establishment. It is quite a refreshing outlook.
I love the line rip out their apology-tongues, and steal their poems. I feel exactly the same way.
