You say that you love rain.
But when it starts raining,

This is a horrid poem. It's terrible examples of hypocrisy; the examples given are. " I love the sun, but I don't want to die of heatstroke! Thus, I don't really love the sun! " Just. Wow. You like apples, but you'll duck when one gets thrown at your head. I guess you don't really love apples, then! Christ.

We are all creature of hypocrisy, often without intent. I think about when we fall in love, and what first draws us to another often becomes that which is resented later...(ie. gregariousness, self confidence, analytical, wealth, different cultures, drive, etc...) Your words, a mirror, many my choose to walk past, eyes lowered. Thank you for steering me to your write....I invite you into mine. PEACE

Thank you for inviting me to comment on this poem. Some people love rain, the sound, the smell, the nourishment it brings to flora and fauna. But to be drenched in it is not a pleasant thing. Some things are meant to be loved and admired from afar. The sun is necessary for life to thrive on earth. It provides warmth and light and keeps us in good spirits. But stay in it too long and you will get burned. Storms are exciting, but dangerous. Caution must be used. Loving your fellow man... this is certainly where hypocrisy is most evident. Love must include understanding, tolerance, the will to extend a helping hand when someone asks. As for revolution, not everyone is equipped or suited for battle, but our voices must be heard when injustice runs rampant. Regarding love, well, this is very complicated. It's a good question you raise, but our saying one thing and doing another is not always an indication of hypocrisy. There could be many determining factors. They should be thoroughly investigated before assuming one is a hypocrite. All in all, your poem is very well written and your query certainly legitimate. I give you a 10

Very unique poem. Could use a little work on rhythm and meter. Could expand into other poems which further explain and explore the hypocrisy. The poem works great as is. I enjoyed this poem, please read some of mine!
