Hustler Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Hustler

Rating: 5.0

He leans on a street post
Waiting for a john
But no one wants a good time
He came to be actor
All the way from the Mid-West
With five hundred
And a hundred cans
Of Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup
He thought it would be no time
That he would be famous
After audition after audition
He ran out of both
He got kicked out of the hotel room
And realized this was the only job he could do
Hustling under the lights of Broadway
He'd gotten used to licking dick
And occasionally gets beaten up
But he rather continue like this
Than being called a failture back home.
