Hi Kelsea - This is a very emotive poem written in very dynamic 'Free Verse' style. It scores a TEN. To understand the emotion I have divided it into four stanzas. Lines 1 - 12 BROKEN LOVE: you fall in love and he leaves - without a word - and leaves devastated and wanting to die. Not all men are like that Angel - but some are unfortunately. Lines 13 - 22 BROKEN HEART: You loved so much - that your heart is so shattered it is unreparable. You challenge the 'man' to see the brokeness of your heart - but conclude he could not face it - tragic. Lines 23 - 30. LOVE & HATE: A Beautiful Young Lady has been destroyed by a Coward - who (quite rightly) you HATE but such is the power and effect of love (especially if we have yielded our emotions) you also LOVE. When we have this experience - it does not make sense but (because we have yielded our emotions) we don't want to let go. Lines 31 - 42. LOVE'S DILEMMA: This section is very real and very poignant 'I love you with my shattered heart'. The cri de coeur at the end is climaxic 'Break the rest of my heart - Just finish it off so I can move on in life' - amazing. Thanks for sharing in such a graphic way. Love you in Poetry - JOHN.
