I heard they have to eat their weight everyday because of the calories burned up by those super-sonic wings of theirs. I wish I had the kind of flowers and bushes that they like- I planted one but they never came to it.

Wonderfully captivating poem and picture to go with it! We have many hummingbirds that come to our yard every day. I love watching them, and every so often they will suddenly sit on a branch perfectly still for a minute or so then take off again. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
We have been watching them come and go all day. I wish they would share instead of chasing one another off! Little stinkers. HA
