Humans Poem by Skylark Woodrow

Humans

I have no faith in these human creatures,
They do not do as they are to do,
Or be as they are to be.
They listen to others instead of listening to their own hearts.
Who are these creatures but imitations of others?
They listen not to themselves,
Nor trust their own judgment.
They are led by others who know not what they do;
Who know not what they have destroyed.
Everyone is to be their own person,
With their own thoughts,
Emotions,
Desires,
And dreams.
When they change who they are, they take away some of the beauty that is on this earth.
Without them as they were made to be the world is forever changed.
You see, each one of us has a purpose,
A reason to live;
And we will never find it if we choose to be someone we're not.
We are meant to be who we are,
No matter the cost.
