One of the seven deadly sins... if only all of this world's self-made bubbles burst before rising... if only they would... well penned dear poetess.

Your tanka gets to the essence of vanity - it's a drastic narrowing of horizons until all you see is what's in the bubble you're enclosed in and it won't get any bigger, you won't be aware of anything outside which could rescue you - a friend, a charismatic stranger, children playing, a crying, helpless child - Oh, there are so many things that can replace vanity with generosity of spirit. Your tanka is a poetic definition of the word in contrast to the dry dictionary definition.

I must say this is a wonderful Tanka ! Vanity is non- oxygenated bubble that can burst at any time and seen with disdain! I give you a 10
