I like this poem a lot. It's such an unusual format, because the language is 85% figurative with just that small remaining percentage literal. I admire the way you focused on the natural elements of tree, fog, overcast, etc. and didn't clutter the poem with any emotional details. You trusted us readers to fill in the particular cause(s) of depression, while you played out the figure of speech to its natural conclusion. Those last two lines really caught my imagination. Remarkable.
