Rating: 5.0

in nature all diversity lives are spun differently
shortest lived insect mayflies live a day males hours
carpet beetle can crawl around 2 weeks to 2 months
fruit fly vegetarian and cicada span life into a month

workaholic worker bee honey makes 2 to 5 weeks
drones pampered penthouse live it up 20 to 40 days
queen bee mates young runs her hive living for years
dragonfly rocks on rapid flying span life 4 months

nasty pesty curse house flies plague us 2 to 4 weeks
love live longer safe domestic settings life extensions
houses in wild expiring quickly in house hibernating
over winter ready to spring out attack your dinner

drone ants lazy nest live do their thing gone in 3 weeks
worker ants work on hard work for an entire colony year
Labord's Chameleon despite disguise lives but a year
palm sized master of endurance Mosquito Fish 2 years

mice very short lifespan can nibble away about 3 years
weasels skinny furry will weasel out in max 1 to 2 years
hamsters a common kids pets live quick 2 to 4 years
rabbit much loved bunnies have snuffed it in 5 years

wolverines bred tough will fight it out for 14 years
tigers 50% dead by age 1 can live as adults 14 years
brown bears only human enemies live for 25 years
gorillas mature slow breed late live in wild 35 years

Siberian bats little guys size night fly for 41 years
elephants stride on stomp it trumpet it for 56 years
humans in good lifestyles can clock it to 80 years
famous long living human fossils live 100 plus

Bowhead whale can swim free for 200 years
if lucky can survive Japan Norway whaling fleets
conservation shy seem determined to hunt species
to last killed extinction in quest for eating whales

do you hear tiny insignificant grains of sand fall
tiny insignificant grains of sand unseen unnoticed
each tiny grain is hours or days in past spent lives
spent lives will be short or long passing time quick

time slips slides away like sands falling in an hour glass
time drips drops away like water flowing in a water clock
nuclear microseconds split time into minute fractional figures
does wisdom of our ages anchor us set in concrete thoughts?

does wisdom of our ages anchor us drifting in ambiguous waters?

past flat earth concrete rock solid theories
have sprung leaks as a round world dissolves
into string theory concepts of artistic variables
mesmerizing multiverse like spinning marbles

time sand seconds time flows morphs into multiverse
