We kid ourselves sometimes,
In our lives we live and lead.
That no calamity falls on us,
And of course we'll all succeed.
We hoodwink and pretend forever,
That we're so strong and so robust.
Always in life we're proved so wrong,
For our dreams aren't made of stardust.
And along life's distant journey,
Struggling to find a guiding star.
One day we shall finally accept,
How fragile we all truly are.
A beautifully crafted poem imbued with wisdom and insight. To my Poem List.
As we tread the path of life, we learn from our mistakes and inadequacies that we are not that strong always to face life's adversities. Our physical strength will give way and our mind will also deteriorate as we advance age.
A wonderful poem of acceptance that our capabilities are limited. Humanity are not perfect. No creation is perfect Each one of us is endowed with qualities. Qualities to use in our journey of life Yet, these qualities are with limitations.
One day we shall finally accept, How fragile we all truly are THANK THE MAKER WE ARE MADE OF CLAY NOT GLASS
