How Do I Decide Poem by Jim Yerman

How Do I Decide

Rating: 5.0

I didn't know what to do!
There were all these voices in my head.
"You know it's much too dangerous! "
That's what Experience said.

"I think it's rather senseless! "
That was Reason trying to prevail.
Then Pride added his two cents,
"What happens if you fail? "

I stood there weighing my options
Wondering what to do...and why
when my heart, in just above a whisper,
said, "Hey...give it a try! "

Yes, I know it may be dangerous...
it may be senseless...
it may not be very smart...
but I made the choice to take the leap...
and listen to my heart.
