How Dare They‽ Poem by Wamii Flyer

How Dare They‽

It has come to my attention
that hoarding gems leads to retention
''It's quite illegal! '' they said
and, curses, I obeyed
Away my personal gems went
so took my finances a dent
I swore I wasn't a thief
I begged and yelled but, they told me to ''keep it brief''
Sailed a ship, I did
to talk to the lawyer dimwit

Smacked that door wide
gave that law a piece of my mind
Instead of listening
they threw me in a cell, sweat glistening
Now I sit in jail
awaiting my bail
The second I'm out
my name will be known throughout
as ''the greatest gem hoarder ever''
All gems will be mine forever!
