How Can I Go? Poem by Namita Rani Panda

How Can I Go?

How can I go darling
when so lovingly you chopped up my legs
and asking me to climb Everest,
with affection you amputated my arms
and asking me to touch the sky?
Why don't you let your Ego go?
Why don't you let the shadow of prejudice go
and lead me when I stumble and fall?
Let's go hand in hand as innocent children
in search of a better globe
where only heart and soul will matter
which don't have any colour or gender.
