How can I e'en say I'll just ‘let it be'?
When great pain and suffering is all that I see?
How can I tell her that ‘it's alright mama'?
When her children in Gaza are going through such trauma?
In Manipur I have all my ‘brothers in arms',
Wondering who brought down their homes and their farms.
The answer is probably ‘Blowin' in the wind'
But so is the smoke and its flames with their singe.
Are we constructing a straight ‘road to hell'?
Is the ‘stairway to heaven' just a story to tell?
‘All yee Masters of War' pay heed to my plea,
Don't ignite my world - please just ‘Let it be'
This planet of mine is yours to love too,
Our only home, a small speck that is blue,
Is ‘death wish' you hold, for all that is living?
Do you really believe that the Lord will be forgiving?
So lay down your tools of destruction today,
Maybe it is still not too late - so pray,
