Sorrowful cactus
How can anyone hug you
with so many spines?
Θλιμμένε κάκτε
Ποιος να σε αγκαλιάσει
με τ' αγκάθια σου;
Indeed, how can one? But that is the fact of life. Man tends to remember his painful moments more than the happy ones. The question is fair, and the answer obvious, but not human behaviour.
I would say the same about a porcupine. Great poem with great images.
